Casinos and Pizza Burgers:
I’m writing from a casino right now – probably the oddest location I’ve ever completed any work in. Hence, one of the many benefits of working from home – or wherever it is that I please. I’m not a gambler, but I’ve decided to take my mom to the casino as a thank you for being my personal assistant after my surgery. She cleaned my house, made my meals, got my ice pack ready and drove me around to various meetings. Oddly enough I’m getting a ton of work completed. Maybe it’s the upbeat music, the flashing lights or the fact that it is extremely cold in here so I just want to finish so I can get up an hobble around (on the plus side, doctor’s appointment next week. Hopefully I’ll be hobbling without my cast!).
Anyways now that I’ve been up and moving around, I’m back to making my own food. Here’s an awesome recipe for pizza burgers. Not the healthiest, but it’s okay to indulge in moderation.
What You’ll Need:
2-1/2 Pounds of Ground Beef
¼ Cup of Soft Bread Crumbs
½ Cup of Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
10 to 12 Slices of Quartered Pepperoni
1 Tablespoon of Dried Basil
1 Tablespoon of Italian Seasoning
½ Tablespoon of Pepper
8 oz. of Marinara Sauce
8 to 10 Kaiser Rolls
8 to 10 Slices of Cheese (Mozzarella or Provolone)
What To Do:
In a large bowl, mx your beef, shredded cheese, bread crumbs, pepperoni, seasonings and ¼ a cup of pizza sauce. Form 8 to 10 burger patties and grill over medium heat. Place the burgers on a Kaiser bun add the remaining pizza sauce and a few slices of cheese to each burger.
