I am a huge fan of flavored waters! I gave up pop (or soda, whatever you’d prefer to call it) and have been hooked on various waters since I’ve been about 20. Seven years later, I am always looking to try different waters. When Morgan at Metromint offered to send me a sample package of Metromint to review…I was extremely excited! I had seen Metromint in stores and to be honest, the thought of a flavor (let’s use chocolate for example) mixed with mint and water scared me a little bit!

The sample package included:

  • Peppermint Water
  • Spearmint Water
  • Orangemint Water
  • Chocolatemint Water
  • Cherrymint Water
  • Metroelectro

About Metromint (directly from the site):

Metromint is the brain-child of Rio Miura and Scott Lowe. Miura was born in Japan and has a background in product and fashion design. She conceived the recipe for Metromint and designed the label and bottle. Lowe, a Stanford graduate with a degree in International Relations, is responsible for product development and manufacturing. Together the two formed Soma Beverage Company in a loft in San Francisco’s South of Market district (SOMA), a neighborhood that is home to artists, high-tech start-ups, and the entrepreneurial spirit.

Combining the purest ingredients with innovative packaging and extraordinary taste, Metromint single-handedly created a new beverage category called mintwater. Metromint already has a loyal following. Metromint was introduced to the public at the New York Fancy Food Show in 2004.

With purified water and mint, I was extremely excited to try these waters. With no calories, no sweeteners and all-natural ingredients, Metromint provides a rather unique cooling sensation to help quench your thirst. Metromint provides vibrant flavor — that isn’t too strong or not too faint. The flavoring is just right!

I truly enjoyed all of the flavors. I am a huge fan of cherry, peppermint and spearmint. So, I never had any doubt in my mind that I was going to enjoy these flavors. I was a little bit worried about the chocolatemint and orangemint. I have never been a fan of citrus flavors and generally think that mint and chocolate should only go together in the form of girl scout cookies. However, Metromint proved me wrong and I loved them both!

Chocolatemint water may just be my new flavor of water!

Included in my package was also a sample bottle of MetroElectro. MetroElectro is macronutrient water that contains antioxidants, zinc and electrolytes. I saved this one for some electrolyte replacement after a run and would definitely buy it again!

Overall, I loved these products! Metromint products have an awesome flavor and are good for you too — with all natural ingredients. Take it from a flavored-water junkie, you’ll love them!

How would you like to win some Metromint of your own. The wonderful people at Metromint have offered to give one lucky reader a case of Metromint along with a reusable bag!
