I’m Michelle, a freelance health, fitness and nutrition journalist currently pursuing my Masters of Science degree in Exercise Science and Health Promotion. I’m 26 and live in Oakmont, PA (just outside of Pittsburgh), where I recently purchased my first home. I’m a huge Pens and Steeler fan (and the Pirates are even growing on me). I’ve written over 2,000 health, fitness and nutrition articles, blogs, e-books, web content and more. (a page of my work to follow soon!) So I’ve decided to create my own blog. Articles range from eating healthy to workouts to injury prevention and everything in between. Through school and work, I’ve learned a lot about the fitness and nutrition industries. I am happy to share what I’ve found most relevant and interesting with you!

I’ve done the whole 9-5 thing — in a field completely unrelated to where I want to be. So I had this crazy idea…I quit my job. I’m now a freelance journalist, who does a whole lot of writing in the health, fitness and nutrition field. Since my clients have guidelines, I figured a blog is the perfect way to work guideline-free. It doesn’t hurt to be able to say what you want when you want, does it?
