Greetings from Chicago! (Ok not yet, actually greetings from the Pittsburgh International Airport). I’m heading to Chicago for a weekend of fun with some of my girls. Although, we had no idea the NATO conference would be there the same weekend. Wonder if we will see anything interesting.

By the way, aren’t my guest bloggers amazing?

While waiting for my flight, I did some reading and came across this:

Check it out at Run to the Finish. I am definitely a little late on this, but hey you can start your own 30 day challenge any day!

I love yoga. It feels great on my body. Plus it can help prevent injuries (which I am all too prone to). The one thing I don’t like about yoga is it’s cost. I don’t like gym yoga and studio yoga can be so expensive, so it is great to find some free yoga videos.

I can’t wait to get started! Monday is day one!

Are you a yoga fan?

Am I the only person who keeps forgetting that it is April Fool’s Day? Anyways, there are no jokes in my post today..I promise. I’ve fallen for so many jokes today so I’m keeping it clean!

Chicago is officially booked! I’m extremely excited and our hotel (the Fairmont) looks amazing and conveniently located near virtually everything! I’m still taking suggestions for things to do if you all have any!

While I am not particularly stoked that it is almost Sunday evening, this week is looking to be fairly exciting (minus the whole work thing):

  • Cheesecake Factory for dinner tonight!
  • Opening day for the Pirates.
  • Pirates and Phillies all weekend.

I’m pretty excited, I just hope the weather is nice.

Blogging and Food Obsessions:

Keeping theme with my last post about foodie penpals, is it just me or has blogging opened your eyes to a wide-variety of foods and snacks that I otherwise may have never known about. What are your thoughts on this? I feel like the more blogs I read, the longer my grocery store list gets!

My current obsessions include:

Peanut Butter and Company Dark Chocolate Dreams

Trader Joe’s Green Tea Mints

Trader Joe’s Blue Berry Cereal Bars.

Last night a small group of my friends made a spur-of-the-moment decision to fly to Chicago for a weekend in May to do some shopping and have a little fun (this would not be the first time we’ve done this)!! We’d only be staying the night and have nearly two full days in the city. We found a great price on airfare, but need to work out the rest of the details!

Since I know some of you are Chicago-natives or travelers, I am turning to you all (yinz as we would say in Pittsburgh) for help! Especially since the last time I was in Chicago I was underage (20, I’ll be 27 eek! this time)!

  • Any hotel recommendations?
  • Shopping recommendations?
  • Restaurant recommendations?
  • Bar recommendations?

I’m all-ears and looking to make the most of a weekend trip!

Calling All Runners:

Since you all have been so helpful in the past, I’m in need of your help again! As part of a freelance assignment, I am looking for bloggers, who also happen to be runners to host a guest post. If you interested leave a comment below! Topics range from running tips for females to avoiding stress fractures to choosing the right running shoes.
