Finally Friday!

It’s been a long week. Thankfully, only a few hours of work and one meeting until my weekend begins! Yesterday was a long day of watching tragic events unfold on TV across the street from the hospital in which my sister was working in. Thoughts and prayers go out to all the victims of yesterdays shooting.

Instead of making a gloomy post, I want to do a things that make me smile/happy post. I swear next week will resume with healthy living posting…otherwise I may be needing to change the name of this blog! :-) .

This guy is likely to return to the ice this weekend! It’s been a long time coming for the second time!!

It’s a Chocolate-y Kind of Morning!

Not really sure what I was thinking this morning, but I really, really wanted chocolate for breakfast. So, that’s what I did!

  • A chocolate and caramel Atkins bar (it was a free sample that came in the mail.
  • Greek yogurt mixed with a little chocolate syrup and some vanilla almond granola.

Part healthy, part sweet!

If you follow me regularly, provided I haven’t bored you to death, I ordered a Longchamp bag at the end of the week. It arrived this week and guess what? They sent me the wrong bag. I ordered a large and got a small. While I was only charged for the small bag, there is no way the small bag can fit all of my stuff!

Needless to say, it will be returned. The good news is: I actually found a large Longchamp bag on sale online. I’ll be paying $107 for the large opposed to $145 plus tax. The small one I was charged for totaled about $133. I guess patience is a virtue. The wait is saving me money!

Now that I’ve finished up my work for today, I’m gathering up coupons to do to a little bargain shopping tomorrow. I’ve got a ton of coupons for free stuff that are about to expire. I’ve got coupons for free carrots, free pasta, free underwear, free lotion, free yogurt and free juice. Why not? I can definitely see how people become addicted to couponing. It feels great to save a lot of money on stuff you really need!

It Wasn’t That Good….

Happy Monday!

Yesterday, curiosity got the best of me and I tried it…I made peanut butter burgers. Honestly, I wasn’t that impressed! I love peanut butter and it goes great with a lot of things. Except, peanut butter and burgers may not be the world’s best combination, but that’s okay. At least I know now!

Looking for a challenge this morning? Not stuck in a dorm room, but my home office is close enough!

Despite the fact it’s Monday morning, I’m pretty excited for the week ahead!

Things to look forward to:

  • my first meeting with a client as a marketing consultant.
  • arrival of my Longchamp bag by the end of the day on Weds. (well, according to UPS)
  • leap day celebrations (bowling and breakfast for dinner lol, It’s an extra day, why not celebrate?)
  • getting my hair cut, it needs it badly!

The Penguins are Loose!

Good morning! They let the penguins loose at the zoo yesterday…okay, not really loose, but they were out of their normal home and walking the side walks of the zoo! And attracted quite the crowd. Only fitting after the Pens beat Philly in Philly on Sat. I love a good hockey game!

This morning’s workout (I overslept and have a busy day week ahead of me). 10 Minute Leg Workout from FitSugar. Great for a quick workout…although I still wish my knee wasn’t killing me from skiing last week…it’s been a week and it still feels about the same –typical for my usual accident prone self.

I’ve y decided I want to purchase a longchamp bag for all my work stuff when I’m on-the-go. I’ve actually broken a few other bags/purses trying to stick my laptop and a zillion other things inside. Now, I need your help.

beige or black?

I’m sorta leaning towards beige in hopes that spring will be here soon. I figure I can always buy black later on if I’d like.

Well, got to run. Time to meet with an accountant and do my taxes!
