Curiosity got the best of me last night and I decided to look into the Pittsburgh blogger scene, which I was pretty much convinced didn’t really exist —which I’m obviously completely wrong on. I found this website: www. pittsburghbloggers.org. This may me of interest to some of the Pittsburgh ladies out there, but maybe you already know about this and are more on top of things than I am!

I constantly go back and forth over whether or not I want to pursue a full-time job position again or continuing freelancing. I love freelancing, but I just feel like I am missing out on so many things by not holding a full-time job. My philosophy is I can always look around. If I find the right fit, I’ll know whether or not to pursue it. I generally spend 20 minutes each day just browsing. Today, I came across a job in social media marketing that wanted a Masters degree and 3 plus years experience for $10/hr no benefits. Are you kidding me?

For anyone feeling lazy out there today, check out this workout:

It’s finally here…Pittsburgh Steelers playoff day! The defending AFC conference champions (12-4) will begin their quest for a repeat on the road vs. the Denver Broncos (8-8) in the AFC Wild Card game. The last Denver appearance in the playoffs was in 2006 (following the 2005 season) vs. the Steelers. The Steelers came out on top 34-17 in this AFC title game. Denver is obviously looking to reverse the situation this year. Can they do it? Heck no! If anyone has watched the news in the Pittsburgh area this week, you’ve probably seen interviews with Bronco fans who are already throwing in the towel. My prediction, Steelers 24, Broncos 10.

Any Steeler fans with a prediction?

5k’s for Thought….

Thanks to Allie @ Allie’s Life, I’ve discovered an awesome website that lists many races in the Pittsburgh area.

I’ve successfully been able to comprise a list of 5ks I am very interested in running. I’ve been told by many fellow bloggers that I should pick a race(s) that has some sort of meaning to me. You guys are so unbelievably right! Now that I have a list of races I definitely want to complete, I am feeling so much more motivated to get started!

Here’s the list:

I can’t find the date for the 2012 Pittsburgh Steeler’s 5k, but I really want to run decked in my black and gold. I’m pretty sure this race is at the end of the summer.

I’m looking forward to a busy spring! And as you can tell, I’m waiting for the weather to get warmer!

I’m finished with my Christmas shopping, but tagged along with my mom yesterday afternoon to finish up her last couple of gifts.  I had a massive amount of coupons for stores like Express, Hallmark, Victoria Secret and Ulta, so I decided to cash-in and get myself some goodies.

I don’t know if any of you received the VS cards that are worth $10-$500. I had two. I wanted some new sweats (my black ones are so worn in they almost look gray). I asked the cashier if she’d ring up my purchases separate so I could use both cards. One was worth $10 (big surprise, right?). Then, much to my surprise the other was worth $50!!! I was pretty excited about that. Making my purchase just $34 instead of $94.

Then it was on to Ulta, were I had a reward coupon to cash in. I know what you are thinking when you see bright yellow nail polish. Wow, what is this girl thinking. This is Pittsburgh…and I practically live at Heinz Field and Consol Energy Center this time of year. Yellow nail polish is only appropriate. Total cost of this purchase $0.

Next stop, Express. $15 coupon for any purchase totaling $15 or more. Since I didn’t really need anything, I decided to see how much of a bargain I could get with this coupon. My grand total $1.10!  I purchased a wristlet and a lip gloss.

Finally it was onto Hallmark with a $5 coupon. Making my adorable new Pittsburgh Penguins ornaments just $5.

All and all, I’d say this was a very successful shopping trip!
